Influential landlords using 1,158 schools as godowns
0Senior Sindh Minister for Education, Pir Mazharul Haq said 1,158 schools established in the province by the previous rulers are being used as godowns by influential landlords. The minister said this on Sunday while addressing on the second death anniversary of the PPP worker Ismail Chopan observed near here at Dhoronaro. Recalling Ismail Chopanís services for restoration of democracy, the minister said he was a brave worker of the party and his sacrifice will not go waste. US high-school student kills principal
0OMAHA (USA): The son of a police detective opened fire at a high school in the state of Nebraska on Wednesday, fatally wounding the assistant principal and forcing panicked students to take cover in the kitchen of the building just as they returned from holiday break.
The gunman, who had attended the school for no more than two months, also wounded the principal before fleeing from the scene and fatally shooting himself in his car.
Authorities declined to speculate about why the suspect, identified as 17-year-old Robert Butler Jr., targeted the administrators.

Student killed in South Waziristan
0An eight-year-old student of a private school was reportedly shot dead by security forces for allegedly violating the curfew on Sunday. The authorities had clamped a curfew on Bannu-Miramshah Road on Sunday due to movement of a Pakistan Army convoy from Bannu to Miramshah, the main town of North Waziristan Agency.
