Edhi awarded honorary PhD degree by University of Bedfordshire
Islamabad: Abdus Sattar Edhi, famous philanthropist and social worker, was awarded an honorary Doctorate Degree by University of Bedfordshire, UK, during the 27th convocation of the Comsats Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Islamabad, that was held here on Wednesday. He was the chief guest on the occasion.
A total of 752 graduates of different programmes were awarded degrees by CIIT Rector Dr. Syed Muhammad Junaid Zaidi. Vice Chancellor Professor Les Ebdon CBE Bedfordshire University, UK, conferred the degree on Abdus Sattar Edhi. READ MORE »
PhD allowance for Peshawar University teachers
A delegation of the Peshawar University Teachers Association that called on Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti here on Tuesday demanded uniformity in allowances for PhD scholars at the national level.
The delegation, led by its president Dr Joher Ali, apprised the chief minister of problems confronting the teachers and demanded establishment of a college for their children.
