Tension at MUET campus

Tension prevailed at the Mehran University of Engineering and Technology campus in Jamshoro on Tuesday after activists belonging to student wings of some political parties resorted to aerial firing.

Reports said that the Sindh People’s Students Federation opened its office at the university, which was opposed by activists of some nationalist student organisations.

The two groups resorted to aerial firing, which created tension at the campus. (more…)

Admission to MUET

Hyderabad: The last date for issuing forms for admission to the University of Engineering and Technology and Mehran University College of Engineering and Technology, Khairpur, under regular, self-finance and special schemes has been extended to Sept 28.

MUET’s director of admission said the last date for submission of forms had been extended to Oct 1. (more…)
