BISE Lahore Intermediate result fiasco

The Lahore board administration has failed to solve the Result Late (RL) issue that aroused due to the error-based Intermediate results, despite a passage of 18 days since result’s announcement.

The students, along with their parents and teachers were paying regular visits to the board’s office to get their result cards, however, the board officials were unable to issue them the results despite their several claims and promises.

The board officials had claimed to solve the issue within three to four days but remained unsuccessful in fulfilling these promises.

The negligence of the officials had put the students, parents as well as the teachers in turmoil since the new academic year had been delayed owing to disruption in the admission process at graduate level because of the result fiasco. Continue reading

BISE Lahore online examination system failure

Technology may be one of the surest routes to advancement but embracing it without doing homework makes it a burden. It is such a scenario which has made computerisation of many a manual system in Pakistan a genie out of bottle, unlike other countries which have achieved through it a fair degree of efficiency, accuracy and transparency in results.

The Lahore Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education’s flirtation with the online examination system has proved one big failure. The computerisation of results in all eight education boards in Punjab, introduced by former Punjab higher education secretary Ahad Cheema and being spearheaded by consultant Dr Majid Naeem for well over a year, has become neither efficient nor accurate. The objective of transparency too remains to be seen. Every time the boards declare results they end up seeing on their campuses long queues of candidates anxious about their late results or those who want to get their result-sheets corrected. BISE Peshawar HSSC result 2010

The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Peshawar would announce the result of Higher Secondary School Certificate Annual Examination 2010 on July 19.

A announcement to this effect was issued to all the affiliated colleges and higher secondary schools of the board, asking them to submit Rs1,200 with the board so that they could be issued copies of the result. Continue reading
