HEC announces reserved seats for Balochistan, FATA

Higher Education Commission HEC has decided to announce reserved seats in the fields of medical and engineering for the students of Balochistan and FATA on open merit and self-finance basis.
It was decided during a special meeting held here at HEC Islamabad. The meeting was presided over by Executive Director HEC Prof. Dr. Sohail H. Naqvi and attended by Sher Khan Bazai Secretary Higher Education Balochistan, Prof. Dr. Riaz Hussain Qureshi Advisor HRD HEC, Muhammad Asif Khan Chief Education, P&D Balochistan and Aurangzeb, representative from FATA Secretariat. Commonwealth Scholarships for PhD, Split PhD & Post Doctoral

The Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan (CSFP) is one of the oldest and most prestigious schemes of its kind in the world. It was established at the first Conference of Commonwealth Education Ministers in 1959. Over 25,000 Commonwealth citizens have held awards – many going on to reach the very highest levels of their profession.
The scheme envisages the following programs in different fields:

The controller of examinations of the Board of Intermediate Education, Karachi, has notified that all private students of Science who want to have their papers rechecked in order to improve their grades or those who plan to appear in supplementary examinations may submit their forms by Oct 4 after which they will be charged late fee for it. BISE Lahore inter annual exam 2012 schedule

Lahore, Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE Lahore) has announced the intermediate annual examination schedule for the year 2012.
According to the board chairman Dr. Allah Bakhsh Malik, intermediate exams will start from the May 6, 2012.
Admission forms with single fee can be submitted from February 7 to March 2. Admission forms with double fee can be submitted from March 3 to March 12, while with triple fee forms can be submitted from March 13 to 22.
Public, private campuses: House wants concerts banned

The Punjab Assembly on Tuesday adopted a resolution seeking a ban on ‘objectionable’ concerts in all public and private educational institutions in the province.
The resolution was moved by PML-Q’s Seemal Kamran who wanted a ban on all concerts by the educational institutions, terming them unethical.
Rana Sanaullah Khan said the resolution had been moved in reaction to a recent concert by a private institution at the Alhamra Cultural Complex where three girl students died in a stampede. He said all concerts were not unethical and he had no objection to the resolution if it contained the word “unethical concerts.” More >
