The Debating & Literary Society of Quaid-i-Azam University organized an Inter Departmental Singing Competition (Melodious Night) with an aim to promote young talent in the field of performing art.

Tauqeer Nasir, Director General, Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA) was the chief guest on the occasion while Khadija Haider and Jam Babar, well known artists were invited as the Special Guests/Judges. (more…)

Workshop on resume writing and interview skills

The Convener of Aligarh Institute of Technology, Engr. Adil Usman, has advised the students to translate their vision into opportunities for new directions, skills, new jobs or work assignments.

He was delivering presidential address at the inauguration of three-day Workshop on Resume Writing and Interview Skills held at the Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) organized on Sunday by its Quality Enhancement Cell.

Beyond the recurrent financial instabilities, the Islamic system is promising in tackling various other challenges related to government finances, deepening of financial markets, or narrowing the socio economic disparities. Rawalpindi schools lack basic facilities

Lack of basic facilities in over 60 per cent schools in Rawalpindi division is proof of the provincial government’s negligence in providing education, which is a basic right and the only way poor can extricate them from poverty.

Majority of schools have no roofs forcing the students to study in open atmosphere in all four seasons. There are a lot of other public schools that lack infrastructure. Many schools have no furniture in classrooms, and lack teaching staff, toilets, clean drinking water and playgrounds. (more…)

Bahria University 7th Convention

The 7th convocation of the Bahria University, Islamabad, was held at the Jinnah Convention Centre here on Monday, says a press release.

Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Noman Bashir was the chief guest, who conferred degrees on 553 graduating students including 188 in absentia in various disciplines including Business Management, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Telecommunication and Networking and Environmental Sciences. Fourteen gold medals and twelve silver medals were awarded to the outstanding students. (more…)

Noon Educational Foundation Oxford Scholarships for Pakistani Students, UK

The Noon Educational Foundation was established in 1992 by Lady Viqarunnissa Noon to support scholars from Pakistan to study at leading universities in the United Kingdom. The scholarships at Oxford are funded by the Foundation, the University and a number of generous partners.

Eligibility:
Applicants should be citizens of Pakistan and be resident in Pakistan. Candidates who have previously studied outside of Pakistan will not normally be considered. Applicants must be planning to return to Pakistan after completing their studies. (more…)
