Higher Education Commission has awarded twenty-two need-based scholarships to the Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad for the MBA session 2011. The scholarships have been awarded under a recent agreement signed between HEC and USAID. The scholarship programme for session 2011 is focused toward students hailing from rural areas especially the female students. HEC, in partnership with the US Government, initiated a Merit and Needs Based Scholarship programme, which aims to provide assistance to talented but needy students who are unable to continue their higher education because of financial disadvantages. Higher Education Commission here on Monday announced the foreign funded scholarship programmes for Pakistani and Azad Jammu Kashmir students for the master, PhD and post graduate study programme for the academic session 2011-2012.

Noon Educational Foundation Oxford Scholarships for Pakistani Students, UK
The Noon Educational Foundation was established in 1992 by Lady Viqarunnissa Noon to support scholars from Pakistan to study at leading universities in the United Kingdom. The scholarships at Oxford are funded by the Foundation, the University and a number of generous partners.
Eligibility:
Applicants should be citizens of Pakistan and be resident in Pakistan. Candidates who have previously studied outside of Pakistan will not normally be considered. Applicants must be planning to return to Pakistan after completing their studies. (more…)
