Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education on Monday directed all candidate appearing in the secondary school certificate part-I examination to attend a briefing at their examination centers one day before the start of exam.
The board authorities said all candidates would appear in their examination centers on March 20 as SSC-I papers would start on March 21 as they would be briefed on the new answer sheets and new method of attempting objective papers.
BISE Official Spokesperson Arsalan Cheema said the superintendents, deputy superintendents and resident inspectors concerned would be present at the examination centres to brief the candidates about how to use newly designed answer sheets and new method of attempting objective part of the paper.
According to new system, the examination board has introduced answer sheets with bar codes to keep the identity of the candidates. The answer sheet will have a bar sheet with two parts that will duly be filled by the candidates.
The front part would be separated from the answer sheet by the invigilators before handing them over to the examiners and it will be kept by the secrecy department without knowing where the answers sheets were being evaluated, the BISE official said.
The part B of the bar sheet will remain pasted on the back side of the answer sheet. The evaluator will mention the marks of the candidates on the given columns in the B part without knowing the identity of the candidates.
