Realizing the fast-growing levels of knowledge in various fields of the engineering world, the Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology (SSUET) has assigned top priority to research and published over 400 research papers produced by its faculty members up to June 2011.

This was stated in a presentation made to the visiting inspection team of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) on a two-day inspection of the Computer Engineering Department of the university.

The PEC team was informed that faculty members of the Electronic/Telecom Engineering Department produced 117 research papers while the Computer Engineering Department contributed 70, Bio-Medical Engineering Department 154 and Civil Engineering Department 68 research papers in renowned research journals.
