The best dealer in town. I base my review on the experience I had with your service manager Richard Wegg. He turned the experience of getting your car serviced into a small luxury holiday where I was greeted with an uplifting pearly white welcoming smile and made me the best macchiato I had ever tasted. At first I was intimidated by his large chiseled stature but found there was a teddy bear inside who was happy to listen to the problems I had been experiencing with my GTS. My service was completed before its promised time and detailed beyond my expectations. I will be coming back to Shacks to see Richard again and his team to experience what I felt as customer service beyond the industry standard.
My daughter recently experienced transmission problems with a 2010 Cruze she had purchased from Shacks in December 2013. I emailed Shacks about the problem on Monday evening 1/02/2016. By 9.35am the next morning I had been contact by the Dealer Principal and the service manager. Car towed to Shacks that evening, the problem diagnosed and out of warranty request sent to Holden Customer Care the next day. The car picked up repaired on Thursday afternoon, at no charge to my daughter. Big thumbs up to all at Shacks for the quality of service and Holden for standing behind the vehicles they sell.
I have owned several Shacks Holdens but havent had a holden since 2007, and this year it was time to get another. Rolling down on a Saturday we met Les, Who was just great to deal with. The salesmen I used to deal with had left but was not at all disappointed in the service Les provided. He was knowledgeable and friendly and was respectful when I told him we would not be purchasing a car that day. We test drove and made our decision on the new vehicle and were very happy with the service provided throughout by Les. Thoroughly recommended

The parts department at Shacks Holden were abusive towards me when I asked for pricing on a full HSV kit for my VE along with quarter panel, roof skin and chassis coloured in Green Lantern Green. When I mentioned the colour, they immediately screamed and shouted about not painting parts and that I need to contact the body shop. I thought this was a one stop shop for coloured parts, but obviously not. There was also an odd odour when I was within the office, almost like ammonia. I will not be returning to this place without my sandals.
Get my SSv Commodore Serviced here despite living in Joondalup. Have dealt with Peter in service dept on multiple occassions and both times has been competent, knowledgeable and genuine. Where some independants will tell you you need things done when you dont, I have never had that with peter or Shacks Holden Freo. Always on time, on price and with minimal fuss. Cannot compliment Peter enough - very passionate about Holden and always ready to answer any questions. Will service at Shacks as long as I have it.
If you are thinking of getting a service or buying a car from this mob then take my advice and stay well away - Outrageous prices, pathetic rude and indifferent service - absolutely clueless when it comes to fixing vehicles that they sold - After many years of stupidly giving them my business I am done, their only mission is to bleed their customers as much as they can. And the kicker is they send you a text after you have left to ask about your experience and dont bother to respond to your answer.
My 2010 Cruze lost ALL transmission 2 weeks ago today. Even though l didnt purchase it from Shacks and only had a handful of services there, Richard the Service Manager and Catherine the Warranty Manager could not be more accommodating. I had the car towed to Shacks and l had the full use of a new SV6 with Avis cost free while they fully replaced the gearbox FREE OF CHARGE!! The service is nothing Ive ever experienced before. God bless this wonderful establishment.
Dont go here. They are all ways "really busy" and have many excuses for 6-7 week repairs like spray machines broken. I received a strange message saying "we arent sure if youre steering rack is bent" - what a wonderful confidence inspiring message. If youre insurer suggests "Shacks Holden" for repairs, have it taken elsewhere. Myself and others have found out the hard way the service is poor, slow and rude, and the quality is definitely questionable.
Bought a used car from them. Broke 3 times in 1 year. Called Shacks and am told all of them not under warranty. They hide some problems that already the car had and sold it to us and told me its not their problem. Customer service was also rude on the phone. I never come back. They should sale only new cars. They dont look after well used car once they sold.
The service at Shacks Service division was exceptional, in particular Brad King and Diane Santamaria. When my Beep Beep needed HELP, this was given in spades by Brad and his colleagues. Thank you for being so caring and professional. In todays world these are rare traits.
Had my car Serviced the other week before I flew out for work the guys working the counter were helpful explained what other work needed to be done. Staff are always friendly when its time to buy a new car I know were I will be going.
