I took my car in to the Myaree Service Centre on Monday 2 February for a diagnostic and on the Saturday 7 February your mechanics said it was all fixed, I paid my $400 and drove off. On Wednesday 11 February my cars temperature was very high and it was still leaking fluid, I called the Myaree Service Centre and they said they couldnt look at it until Saturday 14 February. This was unacceptable from the beginning. My car shouldve been a priority as it was their mechanics that didnt do their job which I had already paid for. So my car got pushed back until the Saturday, this is now a week plus I have not had a car. I took it back to the service centre on Saturday where the mechanic said I would get a call that day with what was wrong with it. I didnt hear anything until I had missed call with no caller ID or message on Tuesday 17 February, this again was unacceptable. I simply assumed it was from RAC. I then called the RAC head office whom told me that the phone lines were down and they sent an email to the Myaree Service Centre and that they would contact me that day. Again didnt hear anything, again unacceptable. On Thursday 19 February I called RAC Myaree again. No answer again. I then called RAC head office whom transferred me to someone (they didnt specify who), the phone rang out then hung up. Again unacceptable. I called the head office again and was again transferred to someone (again they didnt specify who), whom answered with only their name. I had to ask where they were from, its just common phone etiquette to say where you are from. This person (I dont recall their name, it was a male) was very rude after I explained that it is unacceptable to not leaving a message and that I had to call multiple times (yes I was stern but not rude). He then told me that to fix my car was going to cost another $1,100 with absolutely no reference to having my car previously and apologies for not calling me back sooner. This is again unacceptable to not even acknowledge their mistakes. If their mechanics had of done the proper test/s both my time and money and your own would not have been wasted. To clarify by proper I mean check that everything is working before handing over the keys and check that all the problems identified are still not occurring. I feel extremely ripped off and taken advantage of by thier services. Their customer service is unacceptable on so many levels I cannot believe it. Do not take your car to get serviced to RAC Myaree! Its been a terrible experience!
I got a service done the other day on my Hyundai Accent and after dropping it off I recieved a call that there was work to be done costing at total of nearly $600 above the cost of the servicing (Rear wheel cylinders $310, flush clutch fluid $80 and new drive belts $195). I was a little amazed at the cost of the work so I got a quote at a local garage who were prepared to do the work for $410. One third below what it would have cost at RAC so I got them to do the work. Beware these guys provide good service but are an apsolute rip off!
I was charged more than the quoted price. When asked about it they couldnt find a reason why. They didnt wash or vacuum my car. When asked about that they said it is just a complementary service and implied it is not their obligation to do it. Finally, they tried to push an overpriced radiator change as though my car was going to blow up! I have towed 2 tons up steep hills in 43° heat and I have never had a temperature issue or needed to top up fluid. Would not recommend at all.
Their standard prices are cheap, but I have no confidence in their ability to maintain my cars. I’ve had a few problems over the last 2 years, but more recently 2 weeks out of a major service I’ve had to take the car back twice due to breakdowns. They also tried to fleece my wife with some technical spin and quoted ridiculous prices for repairs to the problems they contributed to. Never again!
Not sure why this place has such bad reviews. I wanted to get my car in very late on afternoon, close to closing time, and they allowed it as long as I tried my best to get there before 5. The mechanic called up and asked me about the problem and didnt try and force a fix on me, instead he admitted that there wasnt a problem. Customer service was good and it was ready the next day.
I will never come back! Worst experience ever! No communication from them whatsoever, my car was at the myaree service centre for a week in total! They apparently left a message on my phone to let me know my car was ready to pick up..... Which was a complete lie! DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!!! Be warned!
I was put off by the bad reviews but convenience was important to me, working just around the corner. I have nothing to complain about, service was prompt, phone call to say car was ready, price very reasonable (I shopped around) and my car was sparkling with a clean inside and out. Ill go back .
Why offer a free vacuum and car wash when it is done so poorly. The reception staff are lovely and helpful and I imagine my car was serviced properly, not being a mechanic I really cant tell BUT dont offer a service that makes you look incompetent. Their car detailing person needs to be sacked!!!!!
Vehicle broke down and was towed to auto services Myaree, the vehicle was diagnosed & repaired with minimal fuss and expense. they even sent a vehicle to collect me once the vehicle was ready for pick up. And to my suprise the vehicle was also washed and vacumed!!
Rip off prices and now we have to take the car back as they seemed to have put too much fluid in the power steering. Useless! Avoid this place
Why RAC good insurance but has the Most expensive quotation for repair?
Mechanic put a hole in my car seat when it was returned to me!!
