I have had 3 experiences with Paceway Mitsubishi that have been reasonably positive. I purchased a demo high end car from them and the salesperson was quite helpful. I had no issues after buying the car and would consider buying a new/demo car from them again. I have also had 2 recalls done by Paceway Mitsubishi (not their fault but model recalls from Mitsubishi). Due to the distance from my house I had a day off to take the car in for the first recall. The ladies at the service counter are really helpful and the recall work was done reasonably quickly and my request to be in the car when it was test driven was accommodated without an issue. The mechanic working on the car was very thoughtful and was happy to answer any questions about what they changed and how it is different. He even went so far as to show me the instructions given to them by Mitsubishi Motors. This was a good experience. The second time I had to go in for a recall (a year or 2 later) I had the day off again and was waiting for the car and after a few hours the lady apologised and said they didnt actually have the specific part for my car as it was slightly different than the majority of the other ones and they had to specifically order this part. They had only realised this once they had put my car up on the hoist and started removing a few pieces. (In their defence, my car was probably one of the first cars booked in for this recall as I happened to have a day off the day after I got the recall letter in the mail so I thought Id just book it in quickly). She apologised a number of times and promised that they would order the part and when I booked it in next time they would ensure my car would be the very first one done since I had already waited. Part came in soon after and true to her word my car was the first in that day and I had it back within 2 hours. I wasnt too fussed about this situation, I understand things happen and sometimes things get missed, they sorted me out in the end and the car was fine so I was reasonably happy. This review is only rating my experience with purchasing a car and having recalls (for this particular model) done at Paceway Mitsubishi. I have no experience getting services or unique repairs/troubleshooting done at Paceway Mitsubishi to make it clear!!!!
If I could give no stars I would. Bought a Great wall X200 from Paceway and figured I would go back for a service with them too. First 5000km service. Day after service there was oil all over my garage floor. Dipped oil to make sure there was enough to take it back to paceway. Level of oil was an 30mm above max. Worse than having no oil. Took back after getting booked in again. Left it in the morning went to collect it that evening. Car was still in the same place, No one even looked at it after them telling me when I handed in the keys that it would be ready by the evening. Had to leave it for another day. Next day I went back in I was told there was nothing wrong with the oil level and that I was lying. Even after the service guy had dipped it the day before and apologized for there mistake. The leak turned out to be a bust seal which they said they would order to replace under warranty. I also had an issue with the Sun visor. which was to be order too. Was told I would be rang about these when they came in. No call six months later. When I rang asking about these parts I have been told sorry they werent ordered. Nobody has a clue what anyone seems to be doing in there. Shame for Great Wall and Mitsubishi as having owned both find them to be good cars. They are being let down by useless after service people.
I believe I have been SCAMMED by this company. Recently, after taking my car in for a recall, I received a call saying that both the brake and power steering fluids were in desperate need of a flush (despite having had the car serviced - elsewhere - 11 days earlier and new tyres and brake pads fitted 5 days earlier neither of which revealed the brake fluid emergency). Unfortunately, feedback from the service was in my glovebox so I couldnt check it but it later revealed that brake fluid was okay 11 days earlier and, presumably, 5 days earlier when brake work had been carried out. Circumstances and convenience, plus assurance from the person on the phone that they would never rip me off, resulted in me agreeing to the flushes to the value of $280. A week later, a work colleague took his car in for the same recall. When he received a phone call saying he needed the same fluids replaced, alarm bells rang (I had previously told him of my experience) so he said no. Consequently, he took his car to his regular mechanic who showed him that his car indeed did not need the fluids flushed. I know it was my choice to say yes (as the person at Paceway unsympathetically informed me when I went to them with my concern) but, knowing nothing about cars, I can only trust what I am told. Please learn from my error!
I highly recommend Paceway when it comes to purchasing a car. I was dreading going car shopping with all the stories of dealerships being dodgy money grabbing sharks, but my experience with Paceway was actually a pleasure to deal with from start to finish. I purchased through Kayla and she made the whole experience pretty much stress free. I already knew what car I was looking for and had done a lot of research on it, however she was still able to assist with any questions I had and she gave me other options that may have better suited my situation. Negotiations were pretty smooth we both had to find the common ground which was easy enough (and we got a better deal than any other dealerships I had visited) and after the papers where signed I was still kept updated on the progress of delivery. Delivery of the car and the process of going through what does what and all the gadgets was very well executed, Kayla knew the product well. Would I recommend this dealership to others, Yes I would. They have the customer focus nailed and theyre pushyness to sell the cars is at a level where its noticeable but not in your face and rude like some other dealers. Would I be coming back to purchase another car, Yes when the time comes.
I recently had my Mitsubishi Magna in for service with Paceway Mitsubishi. I had an issue with my battery, where my dash lights would flicker and my air con would turn off etc. The mechanics first tried to blame the battery, until I told them it was a good quality battery and only 2 months old. They then told me that they couldnt replicate the issue and couldnt do anything for me. I ended up spending over $2,000 on other repairs, and walking away without the initial issue with my car being fixed. I told the representative that as soon as I leave the issues will occur. Later that day, the issues re-appeared. My car battery went flat overnight last week, and I have been without a car for a week now. RAC Roadside Assistance diagnosed the problem within 5 minutes. My Alternator was shorting. 4 Amps of power was being drawn from the battery while my car was off. Mitsubishi should have figured that out. Really disappointed with the service.
