IF I COULD RATE THIS DEALERSHIP NO STARS.. I WOULD!!! This dealership is the definition of non-professional. My Brand new Commodore Ute was handed over to me on delivery covered in dirt and scratches. This was then repaired but to my surprise came back scratched again. Then things just got worse... Less than 3 months after purchase, a gearbox replacement, horn replacement, window seal replacement, after market rims repaired, re tinting.... and still having a major issues with gearbox/clutch after replacement and being told there are no more faults (1 year of trying to get this sorted out, still no answers and still faulting.) Not only does the vehicle have mechanical issues, it was scratched on service. I signed a Job Card that stated no damage report and did not sign on pick up as the vehicle was dropped to me. And now being blamed for the damage and supposedly I signed that there was no damage on pick up... That sounds dodgy to me. 5 Months later and no answers. Now Finance! Geez where to start, I Purchased my vehicle under the special conditions that the "finance was to not exceed $212/week" under a deal where I had nothing to pay till the next year. I was approved (So I thought) and went to pick up my vehicle less than a week later. On delivery I was told my repayments were going to be approx $270/week... more than my vehicle contract states. The Finance broker then advised if I paid off the first $4,000 in the first year and a half through Certegy then my repayments would drop to $212/week. As we speak, I am paying off certegy and also a loan on my vehicle more than my vehicle contract states this is now close to $330/week. I am now in financial hardship and cannot afford this ridiculous amount. My question is, how did they get this approved if I was on a base salary less than $40,000 per annum! In conclusion, I will never use this dealership again and advised others to not purchase through them or use them for servicing, I wish I did not have to deal with them again as every time I do its a hassle. AHG Corporate have been informed, Holden Australia are informed, Consumer Affairs were informed, St George Auto Finance Complaints are informed. THE PURCHASE OF MY DREAM CAR HAS TURNED INTO A NIGHTMARE.
Short summary: I have never before been treated so well when buying a new car. I bought a great car without feeling Id been ripped off and the kids love the chocolate drinks. Most pleasing! The Steves at North City Holden are sincere, helpful, patient and knowledgeable. Id say get yourself down there. When the wifes Kia is ready for trading in, we will be going straight back to see Steve York. Full Story: Having done our homework on SUV models and dealers, we cruised eastwards along Scarborough Beach road, stopping in at each dealer to view cars and discuss deals. As existing former Kia owners, the wife and I had easily settled on the Kia Sportage but the salesman at Joe Crisafio was rude and obstinate when it came to talking details. "Thats the car and thats the price, and it doesnt include a tow bar". Even the big boss Joe was just as uncompromising, so we turned back westwards towards Holden. We pulled in to North City Holden to see the Captiva 5 and what a difference! Apart from starting with a being better specified vehicle at a better price, Steve happily met (almost) all our requests, and was certainly able to offer far more "delight factor", than we expected. So we signed up there and then and I have not regretted it at all. The Captiva suits me and the family perfectly, and even at the 3000Km inspection, the chaps made the experience quick and painless. Not everything was perfect as there was an issue about how the window tinting product was sold to us. That is, we were not shown the product demonstrator model and would have chosen a different tinting if we had properly understood the options. NCH offered to change the film but at our cost, so it stayed as is.
From the moment I walked in the door with my wife I felt at ease. I was approached by Steve York, and was greeted in a very professional manner. Steve and his colleagues went out of their way to assist us that evening. The test drive was great, and Steve was very knowledgeable of the car and its features. After then we ran through a couple of things around the couple of the current promotional offers, so that I could go away with my wife to consider our options. The next day I returned to the dealership with another family member and 1 final test drive prior to making a decision. Again I felt no pressure what so ever to make any deal and was pleasantly greeted by Steve. I then agreed to the deal and was introduced to Nicole, for any extras that I may want to add. She too was very knowledgeable and was able to clearly answer any concerns or queries I had. My final stop took me in to the meet with Ellis who looked after the Finance and contractual side of the afternoon. He was extremely helpful and knowledgeable on the products available and was able to secure a very competitive deal for me. As a result we proceeded with this offer and completed the deal. The next day I rang Steve to amend the pick up date. I asked if it was possible to collect the car later that day, and surprisingly I was told that I would have the car by the end of the day. The whole process was truly amazing and would be happy to recommend North City Holden as a Holden dealer of choice to any family, friends or colleagues that are looking to purchase.
Don’t buy your car here I bought my self a Ford FG Falcon for 26K on their finance and was told it was checked with their 100 point check and an AHG 3 year warranty I called them back a day later as the cabin air blower was not working. So I took it back and had to leave it there all day with no courtesy car. I get a call telling me they replaced the part and when I collect the car there solder drips all over my carpet where they have clearly not replaced the blower but soldered the part that burnt out. Within a month I have loud knocking noise coming from the rear of the car and called and booked it in again no courtesy car for the 2 days they had it I get a call telling me it’s going to cost me 5k as the rear frame has snapped. I was out raged and asked for proof they would not show me as they were on staff members personal phone. I get the car back to have the gear box and diff started leaking due to them taking in and out the drive line and reported and they told me to come in for my service and they will "look at it" At this point in so upset with North City Holden, I take it to be fixed elsewhere to fix the leaks and iv had it under 6 months :( to find they didn’t replace my frame but welded the frame. Where it already started splitting again from the bad welding. I can’t believe they would sell me a car with such safety issue .Then to have them to do a quick fix and give it back to me.
ABSOLUTELY disgusting service from all team members at this dealership. First time buyer with my partner- We went to the dealer with our finance ready to go, all we had to do was find a car. I had a phone call from a team member who works in finance telling me my partner said " I wanted to go on there finance" which wasnt the case at all, when I mentioned this to the finance team member she then continued to think I was lying and made the whole process very slow, it took her 2 days to send the invoice to our lender, then sent the incorrect invoice as she somehow thought we were still going to go onto their finance. After purchasing the car my partner and I found there was some problems with the car. We were told by the man who sold us the car "Andy" if there was any issues to bring the car back. We brought the car back and was charged $160 for a diagnostic check, to which the mechanics couldnt find ANYTHING wrong. Nothing was done with the car and we were charged. We were also laughed at by the service team and called us liars as they claimed we had driven 12,000km in under a month? We were told to take the car to Nissan- again another $300 for a diagnostic check to find out we will need to pay $3000 to fix the car. THIS COMPANY IS A JOKE AND HAS THE WORST SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED. Wouldnt even rate this company 1 star- absolute joke and has caused my partner and I THAT much stress.
