I will never trust Toyota Galleria Morley for any kind of car services repairs or maintains. Took my well maintained 2012 Camry Altise for a regular logbook service for 90K the car done 84k to Galleria Toyota as I do every 6 months, picked up the car later in the day paying $595.31 after discount. Next day the car is shaking when I started it, then it is shacking as well at low speed, ignored the issue for the first day, next day same story, called them back advising them there is an issue with the car after your service, the lady told me they will call me back soon. End of the day no one called me, a week later no one called. I’ve checked the bills for the first time and was furious on the many things they’ve been charging me for and never performing on the car so I decided to call them back and take the car in. It turned out they’ve been charging me for (Tightening chassis and body bolts & nuts) the driver door is loose and need to be pulled firmly to close, charging me for (Inspecting seat belts) back seat belt driver side does not go back all the way, (lubricating hinge latch etc..) they back doors squeaking badly, all these issues been there since 2015 and they never did a thing to fix it. I took the car in, In the afternoon I received a call telling me that the car needs around $3500 in parts as the torque converter needs to be replaced plus $150 for the job they’ve done on the car (that they should’ve done a week earlier). I was shocked and asked him not to do anything with the car. Went to them and the first thing the service representative telling me is to pay, I told him I will pay the $150 however I’d like to talk for 5 minutes, he pulled a chair stating that he need to make himself comfortable (mockingly). I started by telling him that the doors are squeaking and one of the seatbelt is not functioning and the torque converter problem was not there when I brought the car in for service otherwise you guys would’ve mentioned to me. Long story short they waved the $150 and presented me with list of parts needed worth $3500 without admitting the problem caused by them. Their explanation was their mechanics did not pick the problem when they’ve done the service and the cause is (Wear and tear) again shocking. Next day I called Toyota WA furious that a brand that I loved since I was 16 (A corolla 1995 was my first car then a Prius which the wife’s uses till now) is no longer reliable and the running life is just 5 years.. Talked to John from Toyota WA who explained there is no Wear and tear issue with torque converter and the man is wrong. Ended up with disappointment feeling about Toyota brand and the incompetent mechanic at galleria Toyota plus $3500 that I could use to buy milk and clothes to my 10 month old baby. Brad the service manager did apologize eventually refereeing the problem to (Human error). However that did not solve anything and trust was already broken between a loyal consumer and the dealer as well as brand that I’ve always trusted in the past. The irony is was talking to a sale representative at galleria a week prior to the service to get a new Camry hybrid, I guess that wont happened forever.
I have had issue after issue with this dealership, I signed a contract for a car with an odometer reading of 49 400Km and when I got home realised mine had done more the 50 500Km. Rang up to discuss and was fobbed off- oh it gets used for test drives etc since it was put on the books. Why would you put a number on a contract that is old, not current? The car thats done 49 400 km still on the web site by the way! Told them log book shows no 50 000 km service- told that the 100 point safety check is the same thing- asked if theyd stamp my log book and they said sure. The next day I got a call from the service department- Your 50 00km service is due!!! Dalj in Finance is pretty unreliable. In spite of promising to call me at certain times as Im a teacher and cant answer my phone, he simply didnt call, so when I call him back and leave a message saying I can talk at a certain time he either called out of that time frame or not at all. I decided to finance the vehicle and Dalj didnt disclose the fees and charges involved and actively covered the part of the contract when I signed it. Yes I know my stupidity- I shouldnt blame him for being a used car salesman. When I emailed him about this and said I was unhappy with the service his response was "Im sorry to hear that" No attempt to apologise or fix any issues. Then he promised my deposit would be back to me by Monday afternoon. Over a week later I had to call him and ask where it was. Oh Ill find out he says then texts me to tell me I hadnt provided the finance department with my BSB or Account number (Id given them to the man himself)! I was only provided one key, no spare and was told I wouldnt be provided with a second- guess what? 13 days later my handbag gets stolen – car’s parked out the front so had to get it towed away. Toyota Insurance (thats pushed on you when you buy the car) told me I may not be covered as Id been with them less than 14 days! Luckily they had a 14 day cooling off period so I told them to get stuffed. Best thing I’d done since they are a rip off too! I saved money getting new locks through A1 locksmiths in Morley with no insurance. Galleria Toyota told me it would cost at least $2500(covered with Toyota Insurance for $1000 -450 excess), A1 charged me $1000! I saved at least $1000 by NOT USING THEIR INSURANCE!!! The least they should do is give me a 50 000km service. Disgraceful service and even one of the receptionists said that it was a boys club and Dalj was useless at returning calls. They won’t see me again after I get a token stamp on my logbook.
Bought a Used Car from here at the start of the year. Had to wait a week to pick it up as they were re doing some paint and was told they were "cleaning & detailing" the car, which was no problem. Upon picking up the car it was covered in dirty water marks and had cobwebs on the mirrors so not sure what the cleaning part was all about. I didnt really mind as I was excited to get my car so I said nothing. After fueling it up and washing it and driving it home I realised there was no log book or manual in the car, so I called up the very helpful salesman and he apologized and said he would have a look around the dealership and call me in a week. After 2 weeks I called back and he apologised again and said he had just ordered me a new log book and manual and it would arrive in a week. Another 2 weeks goes by so I call the dealership and am told that the salesman no longer works there and I get put through to another salesman. I tell him the situation and he said he will chase it up and call me back. A MONTH goes past and I hear nothing. So I call them AGAIN and am told the usual "Oh hes with someone, Ill give him this message and tell him its urgent and he should call you back" Still no call back and have since called and been told Id get a call back. It seems that the customer service is only important when the salesmen havent got money yet. Once you give your money over its near impossible to get a hold of anyone because they are too busy "away from their desks" chasing the commission. *Edit* After posting a negative review I got a call from another person there who was extraordinarily polite and apologetic and told me they will post them out to me personally. Due to this I shall up my star rating by one star. Could be a coincidence but either way, hooray for google reviews. *Edit # 2* That was 5 months ago. Still nothing. The star rating returns to 1
