My girlfriend took her PT Cruizer to the service centre at Maddington as she was having trouble with the lights on the dash. She was charged $850 for a full service and the staff informed her they were unable to fix her dash problems as the fault was intermittent. I advised that for the $850 fee that they should be able to find the fault. They reitterated they couldnt and instead adv that she needed a new radiator for $1500, the boot resealed for $400 and the air con flushed out for $99. I called another automotive centre and they advised they could have a radiator iinstalled for $700. I queried the DVG prices and was told that $1500 is a standard price. I then queried why the dash lights werent fixed. The gentleman I was talking to advised me again that he couldnt fix the fault as it was intermittent and then proceeded to hang up on me. I called the complaints department and was then told that the service centre had suddenly been able to fix it. I queried if they were trying to take advantage of a niave female driver by charging $850 for the service and quoting $1500 for a radiator. I was advised no however $850 for a full service is clearly exorbitant (The car was dirty and some rubbish was found inside and to top it off, the service book was not filled out) In short, do not take your vehicle here. The price is ridiculously expensive, the work is poor (fault wasnt fixed until I lodged a complaint with management) and the people in the service centre are rude (which business can afford to hang up on their customers in this day and age?) On the positive side, the guys at the dealership were more than great. They helped so much and sympathised with my situation. Please safe yourself a lot of time and money and avoid this centre.
I would not recommend DVG Maddington to anyone. They advertised two Hyundai i30s on Carsales - one at $18600 and one at $18690. I went to look at the cars then two days later got a call from the manager who asked me what he could do "to get a sale over the line". I said it was all simply based on price. He said he understood that and I would be happy with the deal he could give me - I reiterated both on the phone and when I got to the yard that price was my only concern and the $18690 new white Hyundai i30 automatic was what I was interested in. He mentioned I could have another colour if I wanted. I realise now that even though I kept repeating the price to him he cleverly didnt quite agree to it, even though he knew exactly what I expected. I went for a test drive and when I got back and sat down to write up the deal I was told both cars had been sold (apparently in the time it had taken to do a test drive!!!!!!) and the best price they could now give me was $20,400. Utterly and completely dishonest. The car advertised at $18,690 is still on Carsales at that price. I imagine they have found a way around a claim of false advertising but I believe that is exactly what it is. When I rang another dealer who was advertising on Carsales the first thing I said to him was whether or not the price he was quoting was correct or was I going to get there and discover that he was lying. His first comment was had I been out to DVG Maddington so obviously its not the first time its happened.
Disgusted - purchased the vehicle new, time for the big $750 services. Previously quoted one price for a services and charged several hundred more so DOUBLE and triple checked the cost of this one - $750. Deliver vehicle - then the phone call to say "the vehicle is ready for collection and cost for the service is $1250" - NO WAY ARE WE PAYING THAT - ITS A NEW VEHICLE - we challenge this and suddenly told by DVG that "Ill try to get the price down to $800" - how can you justify this? They get challenged and suddenly drop the cost by several hundred dollars? You will not see my vehicle again - unbelievable - and in addition to this the one guy behind the counter is both rude and arrogant to female customers. I will also be posting this onto my social media - NOT HAPPY!!! (i would allocate no stars but cant post this til I rate with at least one ;( )
I was misled when purchasing a "new" car. I was given a price on a demo model or a new car. I decided to pay the extra and get a currently registered new car. Instead I found that I had a car that had been registered the previous year, 8 months ago. When I complained it was justified because "it hasnt been driven". I am currently waiting to get my warranty to start from when I bought the car rather than when it was first registered. When I come to sell the car the Kms it had when I bought it wont be known. What will count is the year it was first registered and that I am a second owner. If I had been told that it was a demo model that hadnt been driven I either would not have bought it or at least not have paid the price I paid. I am always wary of car sales people but this is a new twist I hadnt come across before. Needless to say I am not happy.
Not happy with lack of delivery of our new Ute. All monies received Tuesday & still waiting (midday Thursday) & just advised it wont be ready today. Apparently its everyone elses fault that they cant get it licenced. End of Month! Too many cars sold during the month! Just so busy! Confusion with confirming payments (3 payments because of limits on accounts - that must be REALLY HARD FOR THEIR ACCOUNTS STAFF TO CO-ORDINATE!) Licencing giving them a hard time (that was yesterday 5pms excuse, but still not licenced)......mmm wonder what the next excuse will be. Our very first ever new vehicle.....kinda has taken the excitement away. So, tomorrow we head off for a long weekend with the old ute, not the newbie we had been so looking forward to.
Its a real nightmare. They are very very bad in all aspects. I called last week and booked for a service and was scheduled for 10:30. This morning I made a call to confirm that I was coming because I live far from maddington. On arrival the receptionist behaved as if he had no idea that I was expected! Then he said the car will not be available until 4to 5ish. Reason being two staff didnt turn up. When I called they should have courteously requested me to come three hours after or cancel instead of messing up my whole day. Am stranded. Their service and parts technicians are pathetic too. They either forget a part or mix up parts or have no clue whats to be done. Mind you have bought three cars here!! kindly AVOID this place for your sanity
Bought a demo Dodge from this Dealer, the Sales person seems to be genuine, but turn out to be a big fat liar. We were promised 3 years warranty (me and my partner actually asked this question 3-4 times. Then when we signed up we were told dodge warranty starts when the dealerships gets the car. Now being an 09 model bought in 2010. Means one year was already used up. To my understanding the warranty starts when the first registered owner takes possession. We were also told $30,000 drive away no more to pay and then receive a $1000 transfer bill which they want no part of. I highly recommend a different dealership if your looking at buying a new car. It seams maddington will tell you everything you want to hear and then deliver nothing.
