Just got my car serviced here. I told them that the rear diff pinion seal needing replacing and they were like yep no worries we can do that. I drop the car off they ring half way through the day "yeah it needs replacing but uh we dont have enough time to do it today". WHAT?....Then i go to pick the car up and the mysterious break light problem that was picked up (I had used my car just last week with a trailer checking all the lights and if the brake lights didnt work i would have noticed but they are the mechanic so i believe them). Im about to pay and then the brake lights arent working still so i then have to wait around for an extra 45 minutes and then he tells me oh they cant find the problem and ill have to take it to an auto electrician. Great... The manager tries to call a few and i thanked him for that but none of them were going to be open at 5 oclock on a Friday afternoon. Then they back the car out for me to drive home with apparently no brake lights and WALLA what do you know they are magically working. The manager deducted 50 bucks off the service ??? 50 bucks for 45 minutes of my time...... NEVER AGAIN will i get my car serviced here I could not warn you enough about this place enough. I have used automasters in Canningvale and they are fantastic I only used this place as I have moved to subi now and thought i would receive a similar level of service and expertise. Next time I will take my car all the way out to Canningvale for a service!! the guys here are useless.
In 2010, Automasters went door to door selling $953 bucks worth of labour for $150 in a bid to gain more customers. It was very successful initially. So instead of getting an excessive $800 major service from my Honda dealer I got a major service from Automasters - apparently $160 of labour was free. I ended up spending for parts and their prices were inflated. They also found something wrong with almost everything - about $4000 worth that Honda did not note. The car was also not serviced well. Instead of doing all the little things that Honda did like adjusting handbrakes, fixing wipers, etc, they fixed nothing and added all these things to a TODO list they they charged for. One of the items that needed fixing was the brakes which they priced at $310 with $165 of free labour. I checked with Repco and they charge $310 for the same job. So now I know that my $150 voucher is worthless and that it is better going somewhere else where the mechanics actually care about their customers and not about squeezing cash out of them.
I chose to use Auto Masters after receiving an extremely high quote from a Toyota dealer. Being new to Perth I was nervous about using a new mechanic however Rob at Auto Masters Subiaco eased my nerves completely. I was able to get my car in at short notice. The major service was complete on my car in great time and there was no faulting from the quote. I was kept well in the loop of the progress of the service and additional work required on the car going forward. Unlike other mechanics they outlined the additional work required but there was no push to have it done with the current service. Rob was very friendly and I would definitely take my car back to his workshop.
One day after a major service with Automasters my 2002 Ford wagon started to run very rough. Automasters were unable/unwilling to track down the cause. They gave me a story about low compression on one cylinder, and abandoned me. I took the car to Gavin at Automotive Insight in Shenton Park. He methodically tracked down the cause of the problem and fixed it in the most economical way (it was crap that had been loosened by the Automasters "onboard injector clean" and clogged one of the injectors). I will be going to Automotive Insight in future because I can trust Gavin to tell the truth about what my car needs.
The guys at Subiaco Auto Masters did a great job. I made a call & got my car in that day which was awesome. By the end of the day it was ready to go which was even better. The staff went above & beyond locating hard to find parts and with the service they provided. Not only did they fix my car but they cleaned it, too. It hasnt looked that great in a long time. Thank you!
I had a similar experience to the earlier reviewer. Automasters went door-to door and sold my wife $953 of work for $150, but when used the voucher by taking my sons car in for a simple service they spent all their time finding things wrong with the car and tried to charge almost $1,000.
An excellent workshop - they do a professional job and are reasonably priced. Great to deal with. The complementary detail was a nice touch. Service was very quick as well. Ill be back. Thanks.
Great service, excellent work and as good as it gets. This comes from an owner of a volkswagen who has always had his vehicle serviced at a dealer until now. Rob is a top bloke.
Service was fantastic and very well priced. Thank you! Came back for my 100k service... Very well priced and great customer service :-)
Abusive language heard from this place while walking through Subiaco the other week and this afternoon, would not recommend
Excellent service! Dave called to let me know the quote before they started & the price was very competitive.
The new owner at Auto Masters Subiaco was extremely helpful and I was very happy with my recent service
