I brought my car at this garage for a check on a leak from the engine. After a control that cost me 120$, the technician told me that the problem was a major leak coming from the power steering system (the pump is leaking, the rack and a switcher as well). Total to fix that : 1700$... Finding it a bit expensive, I asked an other technician from another garage to have a look at my car as well a few days after. First thing, the coolant system is empty due to a major leak from one of the hoses. This is the major leak ! After a few days, the power steering pump almost didnt leak, and there was few drops from the rack but it is nothing compare to the puddle from the coolant liquid. So conclusion, the automaster technician didnt see that the coolant liquid was empty during the control of my car... not very professional at all. Second point the power steering leak is not a major one at all... Due to the coolant liquid leak, my alternator (that just under the coolant hose) died as well yesterday (something that may have been avoided if the automaster technician had a real look at my car) So Im not happy at all about the service of this garage and I will not recommend it to anyone. I lost my money and my time, plus they were wrong about the problem of my car... yes the power steering is leaking (few drops) but the car lost a lot more coolant liquid (a small puddle)and due to that I have more things to fix in my car... Thank you Automaster ! Youll definitely never see me again !

I am very disappointed! I dont know anything about cars but I am not that stupid not to know on how it is gonna be done! I brought my Subaru car to them because I had a problem with the airconditioning and the wiper linkage. They charged me $ 528.95 for the wiper linkage and for the fittings/ assembly. Charged me for aircon regas including new srcice valves for $220. Here is the catch, Colin said they found the leak from high pressured hose o ring, replaced and he said he did not charged me for it. After like 3 days my daughter heard like a whizzing sound so I called Colin and told me to bring the car back. He told me again that there is a leak on the hose on the same spot! So I asked him, why was it not fix then when they knew already that there was a leak? He stated that they will not find it unless they put a dye on it. Why they did not put dye on it before so the gas was empty again. My friend told me that it is not good for my health because I will inhale the gas? Which I am sick for a week now. He then told me that the hose needs to be replaced. He told me that the hose cost $400+ and I have to pay for regassing again!!! Do you think this is right??? A total rip off!!!!

Update: got a call from Auto Masters, apologised for the experience and said responsible staff were no longer with the company. good that they followed it up. Very disappointed with the service and feel like I was taken advantage of. They ended up charging well over what we were quoted even though they knew exactly what needed to be done from the outset. Spent well over $3000... drove off and then the engine lost power...they had cut a hose that connected our gas conversion to the engine but forgotten to reconnect it... they then left it with a bolt blocking it and told us they would fix it for us next time. When we went back in they referred us to a gas specialist as they didnt even want to look at it. Went to another mechanic who fixed it in less than two minutes with a piece of hose he cut... We went back automasters for a basic service a month later and they tried to add heaps of unnecessary extras saying we needed them(turned a $200 service into a $600 job....) when in fact the things they wanted to fix werent needed and could be done very easily and cheaply at home ie. change air con filter.
I highly recommend these guys. I have found them to be super helpful, professional and friendly. They have gone out of their way to help me a few times including dropping me off to work, picking me up when my car needed to be serviced or loaned me a car. They provided me with all options, worst case scenario and best case scenario when my car needed fixing. There are not too many service agents I have trusted in the past, however I have used Automasters South Fremantle for some time now and they have been nothing but helpful and professional. Thank you!
Nice, professional service. Listened to what we thought was the issue. Found the issue quickly, had the part soon after and we were done and away all in the same day. Only charged us for the part, not labour given the small job but much appreciated ! Thank you ! If I lived here youd have my custom again.
STAY away - DOUBLE the price I needed to have paid - RIP OFF. Was in a corner with steaming broken radiator and these guys TOTALLY took advantage - charged $800 - local would have charged $400. Really so over the cliched oily mechanic being a rip off merchant.
A big thank you to Brendon, Irish mechanic, who helped me with what turned out to be a relatively minor issue with with my car, free of charge this morning. Friendly, professional and sorted out the problem quickly and with a smile. Much appreciated.
These guys are super friendly and efficient. Very accommodating and very clear on what needs to be done or not. They even helped me save money by explaining me how to do some repairs by myself. I strongly recommend these guys.
Great service. Went down there as i had some isues with my ford falcon. They fixed it on the spot. Over all friendly staff.cheap prices but with quality parts..will be back. I RECOMMEND THIS AUTOMASTERS TO ANYONE...
