I have a 2016 BMW 320d. When taking my car to Auto Classic for its very first service I had a few minor issues with my car that I asked to be rectified. I was told these problems would be fixed without issue and that I would be able to pick my car up later that day...great. I was called later in the day and told that when the BMW Service Tech tried to update the system in my car that the entire system crashed and that a new head unit would need to be installed, which BMW did and I collected my car the next day. All issues I did have were gone but I had a new issue, my Web Radio did not work. I have since taken the car back to BMW countless times to have this fixed, they have even put another new head unit in but still the problem persists. BMW tried to tell me that it was my phone that was the issue but my phone has worked in every single car they have given me as a courtesy car, it just doesnt work on mine. I asked for a meeting with the service manager, I got one with the assistant manager. I was told that the problem was my phone again and that they had put 10s of thousands of $ of new equipment in my car for no reason. Again I informed them that the same cable and phone worked in all the cars they gave me as courtesy car (2 x 5 series, 2 x 3 series, 1 x X1 - as you can see this is a long running issue) and that the only car there was an issue in was mine and that the problem didnt exist until they changed the head unit. I was told to stop using the BMW Web Radio App and instead use a different one, it still doesnt work. I have informed customer services on the phone, nothing has been done. I have was promised a new BMW Y-cable which would apparently solve my problem, it has never arrived. I bought this car as a 30th birthday present for myself and I now cant stand the sight of it because of this issue. BMW have wiped their hands of me now from what I can tell and I am now left with a car that will not do what it is supposed to - an issue caused by BMW them selves. I will say that the Service rep I was dealing with was a good man, and was helpful right up to the point that they could not pin point the issue and they brushed me off. This is a bit of a warning to anyone that takes their BMW to Auto Classic in Perth for a service.
I had a great experience with Auto Classic. I have been a client of this dealership for years. They have a great service department, the people there are very customer orientated and will go the extra mile for their clients whether it is the odd issue with the car or extended loan cars, they will accommodate you as much as they can to make the process as smooth and convenient as possible. Ive recently been fortunate enough to be in the market for a new car. I couldnt make up my mind on which model to go with. All the staff there (Kinh, Zoran and Ryan) were very patient and helpful. After a few days of going back and forth (and multiple test drives) I finally settled on my choice and couldnt be happier with the car and the service I received. There was a small hiccup however, I was offered extended warranty and tinting with my car which I declined at the time. They had placed these on my car anyway - maybe it was just miscommunication. Not wanting to pay for what I did not originally want, we eventually came to an agreement with Auto Classic, they were quite accommodating and apologetic for the error. My partner and I could not be happier with the service we received from the team at Auto Classic. Thank you Zoran, you are a star man. Looking forward to the next one! Cheers
Very poor customer service . I called them last week and asked if they have any "Rear Diff bushes" in stock for my BMW f10 520d, they said - "NO , but we can order it from Germany and will takes 4 weeks for delivery to Perth ,the price is $299.00" ,when i asked about the part number the guy i spoke with /Daniel from parts/ was very unfriendly and he said - "NO i cant provide you the part number" . Finally i rang "BMW Melbourne - Kings Way" - and they said "Yes mate , weve got 3 diff bushes in stock." I ordered from them and paid $125.80 and they send it to me with Australia Post which took 3 business days for cost of $9.00 for delivery to Perth,WA .How is that possible, isnt the BMW is the same company with many different dealerships all around Australia?Probably is not that hard to call your colleagues in different state and to ask if they have this particular part in stock ?I As a huge BMW fan im very disappointed about their service - "Auto Classic BMW" and i will definitely not be using your service ever again ! PS: 19/05/2017 Two weeks after my review there is still no one contacted with me which confirms their poor customer service ! They probably still "investigating"...
I was asked by a staff member for 5 star google review and in return I will receive $50 gift voucher. I think this is not the best practice a prestige dealership should have. I am not hungry for $50 gift voucher but I would rather provide honest review so that everyone waking in to the dealership should know what is actually happening there. Are you guys trying to bribe your customers now??? I used to get my car pitstop checked every 6 months, being a loyal Auto Classic customer, now I have to pay $45 for every pitstop. They no longer have courtesy/shuttle bus service, cmon guys, not everyone wants a loan car!!! It takes forever to get in contact with the service manager when you want to discuss issues/complaints. Guys working in the parts department are a bunch of Robots. Monotonous and knows nothing about customer service. Cant comment much about the sales department. I bought my cars from the dealership years ago and the service I received back then was pretty good. Overall summary is - customer service is not the same as it used to be. It is declining over time. Whoever is running the show should pull up his pants.
No ethics here! Beware all BMW owners, Auto Classic (operating with BMW Aust) intentionally mislead owners on known faults of vehicle while in warranty. I complained of a noise at the front of my 335i Turbo in 2010 with the Auto Classic service department informing me that this was a standard exhaust noise. I have since been told (now out of warranty) this is a Turbo fault and will cost $10K to fix. (noise ios lowder and exhast has not been touched) This is a known issue with these cars and was known at the time my car was under warranty. BMW USA has had a class suit against them on this matter and now the warranty on 3335i turbos have been extended another 8 years. The Auto Classic service foreman even told me a few weeks ago that he initially he could not hear a fault (its loud folks) then not to worry as no one will know?? This is the guys that is supposed to be keeping your investment 100%. Google 335i turbo class action to check the validity of my story - and check other class actions on other models. I have spoken to other 335i owners that have a similar story. BEWARE!!!! Its a shame as the car is great besides.
