Nothing but trouble. Good luck getting anyone to answer your phone calls, youll constantly have your call sent back to the desk while they transfer you to someone else. And if you do miraculously get to speak to someone they are little to no help. I just bought a $800 smart tv from them less than three months ago and my remote broke, and they just dont stock a replacement remote. They kept saying they are waiting for the company to make a replacement remote. Well news flash, it exists, and it has for awhile according to the manufacturers website, so I had to order one through them. Is that covered by my warranty? Of course not. Staff at the Tasmanian shops really need training, and how to deal with customers. They are rude, short, and will say whatever they need to to make a sale, but good luck getting help if you have a problem. Will definitely be taking my business elsewhere. I hope not all JB HIFI stores are as bad as the ones in Tasmania. Specifically Hobart.

Great discounts and products but one rude employee. I politely ask the employee the difference in why the two particular products were different in price but look the same so I can know which particular is better or why the other is more cheaper or expensive, not knowing the difference between the two, the employee replies " Uhmm the difference in price is $40". I felt like a fool as if I were suppose to know the difference and then just walked off. In the end I did not buy the product because I had no idea which one to buy
A great shop, the atmosphere is very relaxed, the staff just wear casual clothing - which is a staple of JB. When they first opened in Dec 07, they had a much more comprehensive range of CDs, but this range has been drastically reduced since unfortunately. However, there is a fantastic range of vinyl which is impressive. The challenge going in here is can you walk out without buying something, good luck with doing that....
I visited JBs today in search of a specific DVD title that was not on the shelves - a young lady with long dark hair (I didnt catch her name unfortunately), helped me out immensely, by searching stock, and when that yielded no result, looking up the title online to ensure the it was correct, and then managed to find me what I was looking for. AMAZING CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THIS STAFF MEMBER! Thank you!
When I asked if they were going to have any sales on a mac book air before Christmas they told me they wouldnt but they would be able to negotiate and lower the price. When I got to the shop to purchase it they were happy to beat competitors and lowered the price by over $100. The staff are great and extremely helpful, I recommend JB HI FI!
After an appalling experience at the Rosny Park JB (they sold us a defective item and would not take it back) the one in Hobart swapped it straight away for a new one. Needless to say we will keep going back to this one and are impressed with their customer service. Just thought it deserved a shout out.
The staff was chatting and just ignored me when I wandered around and couldnt find what I was looking for, for 15 minutes. This didnt happen at any store I have been to on the mainland. And they clearly had seen me look for something. No one had come to help me.
Really helpful super friendly staff massive store and hard to get a sales person but You can understand this can be a big number of people vs floor staff and they do a good job ,good discount on products as people have said .
Not a fan of the JB Hi-Fi format. Staff are dressed like they are on their way out on a day off. Signage is sloppy and all over the place. Prices are generally good. Some of the staff are knowledgeable.
Talked to an employee about why theyre prices were so inflated vs Dick Smith Kogan and was informed more or less that there phones were superior, like they dont come from the same place. Bit of a joke.
I brought a Logitech keyboard with mouse there. Nice location, easy to find. Friendly staffs. Just make sure you bring two dollar coins with you for parking fee.
Its underground off Collins Street and is a hub for office workers and others seeking specific electronics needs. Theyre constantly revamping the displays
PC game selection even more poor than it previously was, unless you really want to browse just buy online and get it delivered, queues are always long.
Prices need to be more competitive with the online market taking off. $80 for an HDMI cable you can get for $9 online is a joke.
After sales isnt great. Essentially impossible to contact via phone. Good prices and generally friendly and helpful staff.
Bought my phone here. Staff were friendly, which makes this one of the better of the many JB Hi-fi.
Staff are always cheery here. Other than that... its jbhifi. Does what it says on the box.
