Called up asked for a free Tyre inspection, took a walk while I waited, came back and from there I ended up getting automatically charged by the system for a Tyre alignment which I didnt even ask for, my two front rims came off shortly after getting back home. I complained and heard back from someone in Melbourne who instructed the store to call me back. 2 weeks later even went on the holiday to the States for a month before I even received a call told them to call back (as roaming charges are ridiculous $1 a minute) after I get back then took them a further week or so to get back to me and after stating a refund isnt possible and told me theyd replace my front two rims as compensation and theyd call me in a day or so when they get in, I accepted but its been another two weeks and have yet to hear from them so Im done with Bob Janes never going back and Im certainly making sure everyone I know hears about it. P.S. in regards to the response I put in my complaint in December and its now nearly April am no longer interested in wasting my time with waiting on calls back forth I just want to get over it, but Im posting this so other customers know how much of a headache it was for me.
Graham Alexander of Bob Jane Tyres has a seven star rating for service from us. On a Friday afternoon, we had to catch the ferry back to the mainland with only hours to spare when a wheel bearing shattered. As it was a Toyota, we rang the Toyota dealer first. After explaining that we would take the axle off and only required them to press out the old bearing and press in the new bearing (a matter of 15 minutes) we were told sorry, they didnt have time. After ringing about 7 or 8 more mechanics we struck lucky with Graham. He said he was flat out busy but if we could take the axle off then he would do the job. His attitude and assistance were fantastic. We probably would not have been able to get another place on the ferry for about a month, which would have meant great expense, not being able to get back to work in WA and a lot of stress for us. Thanks to Graham we were soon mobile again. Toyota need to take some lessons in customer service from him.
