Avoid at all cost! Renting a vehicle with comprehensive insurance is already fairly expensive, but we were aware of that. What was unexpected, on the other hand, was that we only had 400km included. This is plain ridiculous, when you know that we rented our vehicle in Darwin and the closest city, Jabiru, is already 250km away. We had thus to pay for a 275AUD for the additional 787km we drove, charged at the scandalous price of 0.35AUD/km. Apparently thats the same for all companies in Darwin airport, so I guess you cannot blame Europcar. The main scandal, however, is the surcharge of 3.5% we had to pay of the handling of our reservation, on top of which came another surcharge of 17% - I repeat: 17% !!! - for airport fees. Whats even an airport fee? This was never mentioned, neither at pick-up or drop-off, although we specifically asked if there were more bad surprises.
Scam !!! Do not rent especially not at home, we found ourselves to pay more than double the amount originally provided for with hidden costs such as "airport" of $ 130 km of additional fee of $ 300 !! Very very bad experience. I never praise a vehicle from Europcar and I strongly suggest you to do the same!

BEWARE!!!!!! Initial contract was for $196.12. We paid $129 deposit to Airport Car rental while booking the Car as it was through their website. But than after returning the car we were charged $380.28 from our Credit card. There were all sort of different charges added. We called them about the deposit payment and why was that not deducted from the main invoice. But they said they take no responsibility what so ever for the third party website. So in short we were charged around $510 total which suppose to be $196.12. Dodgy company .
Poor. I hire a small car at Europcar Darwin airport. they took my money over $5500 from my credit card. So I asked to make a refund but they said they can not do anything... They dont know anything. Even the station manager dose not know what he has to do. Seriously. They need to get more training.
Worst Customer Service ever. Instead of solving the issue they called me and started shouting about my previous review, Will never use them again. I never had such a bad experience with any car rentals.
