My experience with J B HI-Fi If you have a good amount of money to spend this is a great way to get service, flash your wallet or your credit. If you earn under 25 thousand a year, dont go to JB Hi FI Belconnen unless you have the cash, because you are not eligible for anything in the way of rent, or hire purchase interest free, they dont to lay by. The management just ignore and shrug their shoulder and look down at you like your trash. You get a cheque sent in it takes 9 day - 12 day to clear. You call and they run around and never get back to you with an answer ! 7 calls and then they ask you to call back . then they fins out and then do the same, 4 days later ! Basically they do not care for your service because your not really buying that much in the first place. So hunt for a sales person and latch on to them and get all the fact first. Avoid going to the counter at all unless you have cash or a credit card ready to purchase. It is a war zone of attitude.. If you win the lotto Buy JB Hi Fi out and restructure their in store customer service and online presence.
Having recently moved to the Belconnen area, Ive stopped by JB-HiFi almost weekly for cables, devices, adapters, and stereo equipment. Also, Ive done my communication services through them (phone, TV, internet). This location has particularly excellent staff, who are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. JB-hifi offers excellent return and customer satisfaction policies, and Ive had a really easy time returning products that are defective or just didnt perform as expected. In my case it was a device that came with a dead battery, and a monitor that just didnt meet my needs. They have regular sales, and have pretty good prices to begin with. You will get the best service if you deal with the local department expert (Ie: for TV stuff talk to the tv staff). Highly recommend stopping by rather than making the trip to the city or Fyshwick.
Poor warranty and repair service for Smartphones. Most of their smartphones tend to get faulty as soon as you buy it, and they dont offer fastrack services for repair. But rather they make you wait 8 to 13 weeks for repair overseas. Once they sent my phone off for repair to Sony overseas, and promised me that it will be back in 5 weeks. Then i had to wait 10 weeks and never received a call from them. I went back to the store and they informed me that they lost my phone when they accidentally sent it to a wrong repairer. Then they made me wait an additional 2 and a half weeks just so that they could order in and give me a replacement unit which they didnt sell anymore in store. These cheap bastards arent worth their prices. Would never recommend these folks. Never buy smartphones from them.
Great helpful staff, everyone is willing to help and listen to you. The staff listen to what you want and give you an actual real recommendation. I have been dealing with the store manager, Adam, with a faulty product and he working hard to get a solution to my particular case. The best thing is that he has been keeping in touch with me, actually calling me to update me on how things are going. Its almost unheard of in regards to big store chains. Also willing to do some great deals, have gotten some great deals as well as great service. Will and have recommended to friends and family.
Perhaps the best after sales care that I have ever received. We had an issue with our new LG TV. When LG refused to supply us with a replacement or even a repair, JB Bleco went to bat for us. For close to 4 weeks they pursued LG down every legal consumer law avenue (props here to Adam for his amazing work). In the end, they were able to get LG to cave in, and cough up for a fix. Everyone knows that JB have solid-to-great prices. But for my money, Ill be returned to them again for the genuine care that they displayed- a quality oh so rare these days.
I wanted to purchase a quality set of head phones upto $400 worth. Staff were difficult to identify due to a lack of uniform and difficult to get their assistance. I went to the counter for assistance only to experience a dis organised team as they scrambled for a ladder to access the Bose product I had decided upon. I ended up leaving empty handed as I didnt feel the service deserves my business. Ill be very hesitant to enter one of these stores ever again.
I loved it at first, I thought it was much cheaper then any other electronic store around Canberra, i got my tv, ps4, laptop and phone from their (I got my iPad form Apple), there was one problem, I bought a bubble head from here (online) to find the box was damaged, there was scratches on the product and the spring (which make the head shake) was damaged and was facing slightly sideways, otherwise I wouldve given this a 5 star
Biggest selling point is it has the best Telstra shop inside. The guys are fast knowledgeable, and help with phones & accounts. I buy everything else there while I am there as well. I am moving to the southside, and need to change my Telstra account set up and will go to JBHIFI Belco to do this. Keep up good service and thumbs up to the guys in the Telstra area of the shop. I know many people go to this shop for them.
Bad attitude when enquired about the availability of a particular internet router which was discounted at Dick Smith. Instead of telling me they arent willing to price-match the dude told me DS made a mistake and listed the price wrong. What a jerk, he lied in my face. Luckily, I was able to get what I wanted in Dick Smith in the end. Avoid this store when you can!!!
Although the guy was new to the job, could not tell from his professionalism and great service. I couldnt understand how he was new when every question was answered with great confidence. His patience and his friendly attitude made the transaction a breeze. Thank you!
Excellent service - FANTASTIC warranty service too.... Ill never buy online for an expensive device again after all the warranty and service dramas compared to J&B HiFi... Every time Ive had an issue they just solved it on the spot... Cant ask for more!
Generally very little assistance from staff who appear to be enjoying talking to each other more than actually working. Noticed this on several occasions. Also staff will often do what they can to get out of price matching

Visited the store looking for a camera but with little knowledge of what I needed - received excellent service and walked out with a smile and everything that I needed.

Good place to get electrical goods but the staff dont often give the best price unless you sure then another store has a much better price
