I bought a Phantom Black 2010 VE,V Calais 6.0ltr Sports-Wagon and i Highly and Absolutely Recommend this Dealership as to there fantastic service and they were very corruptible in negotiating with price and to there best of there abilitys to make all of my ends meet. Bernard and his boss Scott are the 2 men that made all this happen. More Bernard who helped me from the beginning and to the best of his abilitys and has done an fantastic job! He always made sure he could do more then i ever asked. And always heckled his Boss to make me a more satisfied customer! And i was & still am. THANKS BERNARD!!! So far i have had no trouble with the car. And for a 5 year old car and me as the 2nd owner it is in incredible condition and was to all what was told to me. When i had NRMA do a report i got (53) Satisfactory out of 55. Which is an incredible report. There were minor Dents and Scratches but Bernard took care of it all and you cannot even notice now. Very small Cosmetic wear but what is there to expect from a 5yr old car there was nothing serious. Its a very clean car inside and out. Mechanically wise the car runs great. And the report has no issues and thus far i have had no issues. Also for who is reading this i am from Melbourne and had the car inspected over there then delivered and i have never been happier! Delivery only took 2 days. And car was delivered very safely with no damage. So do not be scared if you are from another state! Thank you Gerald Slaven Holden Dealership.
I bought a relatively new Golf GTi from this dealership. Within two weeks it had broken down. I sent it back to the dealership to fix (they took care of the towing etc). I was lent a courtesy car while my car was being fixed. It took over a week to get the car fixed. After taking the car home, it broke down again the next day. Apparently, the first fix had caused secondary issues. The dealership again towed the car back. When I received it again I noticed that the AUX wasnt working. I asked them to fix it which they said they could do quickly. A week later - I was told that they hadnt even looked at it yet. A month after purchasing the car, I have driven it for a week. I am having to pay finance on a car which I have not even been able to drive! I would never buy from this place nor would I ever get my VW serviced with these people.
3 yrs ago I made a visit here to look for an SS Commodore or a newer model SV6. The sales woman made some calculations then told me that I would not be able to afford the repayments and suggested I buy a cheaper car. I went straight to Subaru and picked up a WRX around the same price... and had the car payed off within two years. So much for not being able to afford what I wanted! Fast forward to last week. I called this dealership (and the one in Phillip) simply wanting to know if they had any used VF SS Commodores. I gave my number to both dealerships and was told someone would return my call. I havent heard anything from anyone from either of these dealerships. Looks like Im buying another Subaru
The two salesmen that we dealt with (Dallas and Sean) were very professional and helpful - I had never bought from a dealership prior to moving to Canberra and was expecting the worst. Dallas and Sean were helpful throughout the whole process and always available (important as I had never transferred a car in the ACT before). Although my car was one of the cheapest in the yard, I was still treated as a valued customer and could sense both Dallas and Seans genuineness - such a rare find in this day and age! I would highly recommend them and if I ever needed another car, would not hesitate returning for another enjoyable car purchase experience.
Im not going there again. I was told that this service would take about 2 hours, ended up taking four and a half. And, after 3 and a half hours I was informed that "it wouldnt be much longer", as the mechanic had just gone to supercheap auto to pick up a light bulb. Who would have tought that a Volkswagen vehicule might need a light bulb! Not the service people at Gerald Slaven, they dont bother carry any in stock. While waiting I would look at the window into the workshop and, more often than not, my vehicle was just sitting there with nobody working on it. NO GOOD ENOUGH.
In 2015 I purchased a used Holden Cruze from Nathan at Gerald Slaven. The whole experience was pleasant and made so simple by all of the wonderful staff. They suggested a vehicle that met my needs exactly and guided me through the entire purchase process with ease and professionalism. The after purchase servicing has also been convenient and accessible, with the staff explaining any issues to me clearly. Both the staff and service at Gerald Slaven are above par and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a pleasant and efficient experience when purchasing a vehicle.
I have a Holden Craptiva 2013, worst car I have ever owned or ridden in. Thank god Holden is being kicked out of Australia. Just tried to change the oil filter, 20 mins in my Mazda CX5, where as 40 mins on trying to locate & then open the filter to no avail, a special tool is required. What a lemon of a car. Thought I had learnt from owning a VZ Commodore which was the most expensive car ever to run & maintain & service. Im taking the time to drop into Holden at Belconnen & giving them a blast about the most shittiest car ever, the Hlden Craptiva.
Perfect from start to finish! Walked in on the Saturday was greeted immediately, then introduced to Ray, who then took me for a test drive in the V6 Commodore. 5 days later I had a new car. They made the entire process stress free and easy to understand from Finance with Josh all the way to detailing and everything in-between. Wonderful experience for a first time new car buyer. So many questions were asked and answered without hesitation. One super happy Client!
Do not take go to these guys under any circumstance! On 3 different occasions I have had issues with not performing work and being charged for multiple hours of work when I personally saw the vehicle being taken into the workshop for 10 minutes. Take your car anywhere else, and if you think they will try and help you for any faults on your car they will do anything to avoid fixing it. Please take my advice and avoid this service department under any circumstance!
Genuinely the worst service experience of my life. Its very concerning how pathetic their knowledge is about even their own cars. I was told my car was tuned and not standard just because I had an APR badge on it.... They argued this to my face saying "the software isnt standard". The show room staff show unparalleled arrogance. I wouldnt recommend these crooks to even my worst enemy. Truly rubbish. 1 star review is generous. #stay the hell away#
Sales AND service are crooks. I bought an Astra on the agreement that it would have a tow bar installed. I got a non holden bar, with wiring that didnt work. They resisted replacing, in the end both Sales and Service denied doing the job, and I have to go elsewhere to get the wiring right! Such a simple job, WTF wouldnt they just do it!? Service are so busy, they have no idea whats going on and who is doing it. Reception phone system is useless.
